Claudia is a fervent student of life. Always a mover, Claudia began playing tennis on the clay courts of Brooklyn at the age of 5 and continued to train intensely until her late teens - adding in dance and performance. In 1997, while pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting at Tisch/NYU, she stumbled into Jivamukti for a yoga class. There was an instant connection to the graceful command and potential of the human body that practice enables, and it spoke loudly enough for her to pay attention. After graduating she realized that the physical potential could not be forged without the foundational discipline of the mind. In 2002 she was certified in Los Angeles and began teaching Bikram Yoga in NYC. In the years that followed, she travelled to consequent trainings to assist and lead. With an insatiable appetite for learning, Claudia continued to study various modalities and forms of movement, energy, and meditation. In 2009, tapping into her creativity, she conceived of an opened a yoga studio in Brooklyn which drew upon the lineages and teaching that had been so much a part of her journey. For 6 years she owned and operated the studio, and in 2015 it became clear it was time to move in order to continue to grow. After closing the studio in 2015, she continued with her energy and body awareness studies, and is facilitating trainings, retreats and group classes all over our beautiful planet.
