Practice for Women: Yoga in Support of the Feminine Physique and Physiology
As Women, the great potential of our Yoga practice lies in honoring and respecting change in our bodies, and structuring our practices to reflect who we are in our lives. This is especially true as we go through normal transitions and the ageing process.
Be prepared to skillfully sustain your practice well into the later decades, through stabilizing the shoulder girdle, opening and strengthening the hips and pelvis, and learning how to navigate the waters of normal hormonal fluctuations.
Classes will include energizing and restorative asanas, rejuvenating pranayama, traditional chanting and meditative reflection. The workshop is suitable for all levels of students, from beginners through life-long practitioners.
The focus for these four classes:
Sat 10-12.30pm - Anatomical focus: Shoulder and Breast
Sat 2.30-5pm - Anatomical focus: Hips and Ovaries
Sun 10-12.30pm - Hormonal focus: The Menstrual years (including Pregnancy)
Sun 2.30-5pm - Hormonal focus: The Inward Journey of Menopause
