Yoga Weekend with Haein Cho

Friday 18 August 7-9pm - Handstand Workshop

Learning how to do a handstand is the process of discovering your own potential, gaining confidence and overcoming your internal barriers. Regardless of whether this is your first encounter with standing on your hands or maybe you are already well oriented in this acrobatic play, you will certainly gain a valuable experience during the workshop. Get ready to receive helpful tools and knowledge so that you get the skills and courage needed for practicing the art of balancing on your hands. We will work on alignment, proper work of the shoulder girdle, discovering the basic principles of Acrobatic, so you can build confidence and increase your body awareness. You will learn exercises that will help you to unite body and mind and create a solid foundation to stand on your hands. We will work both independently and in small groups, in an atmosphere full of support and mutual concern for safety, appropriate for all levels of practice.

Saturday 19 August 10am - 1pm - Strength & Alignment

Mastering Inversions & Arm balance. Inversions – Bring your courage to the encounter of challenging inversions in this innovative workshop. A strong progression will teach you to learn from fierce concentration of the mind and body control. All student will have direct hands on correction and adjustment. This fun, challenging workshop of arm-balances designed to teach you how to do arm-balances with greater mindfulness and ease. Students often over-rely on force when working on these poses rather than learning to understand the essential actions and movements. This sequence will help your body to understand the mechanics and leverage of arm-balances and make these inspiring poses part of your repertoire. This workshop will invigorate you, challenge you, and educate you.

Saturday 19 August - 2pm-5pm - Therapeutic Yoga

Shoulder, neck & back, spine

Therapeutic Yoga shoulders, neck & Back, spine How to relieve neck pain, neck tension, headaches, and Shoulder pain through Yoga. Perfect for those who spend more than couple of hours in front of computer. Many of the neck and shoulder relief postures are accessible for all age and even everywhere. Lower back pain is a very complex problem and can be difficult to resolve. We will look into the anatomical point of back pain relief postures as well as how to practice spine related posture safely as well as to find the correct balance within themselves, bearing in mind that the muscular system is dynamic and constantly changing.

Sunday 20 August - 10-5pm - Yoga Ritual, One day urban retreat with Haein & Nicolas

Through rituals, yoga, cacao ceremony and conscious dance, we are inviting participants to relax and connect their body, finding places and comfort, nourishing movements and discovering a safe space within to pause and simply be here, now. Morning session : Body Connection We will start with a guided meditation, helping us to arrive here and now, allowing our every day concerns to rest. We will then follow with an opening ritual, to express our intention of the day. This morning is an invitation to safely listen to the voice of your own body, a language made out of sensations, feelings and impulses that reveals a direct path to our subconscious through movement exploration and yoga. Afternoon session Heart connection Our afternoon will be dedicated to the cacao ceremony. Raw cacao is a powerful heart opener that paves the way to transformation through self-love… it is considered as a medecine in South America since the time of the Maya. We will start the afternoon with a purification ritual, letting go of the things we carry that no longer serve us. We will then serve the cacao and concentrate on our heart. During the ceremony will will work with voice and conscious dance practice to connect to our chakras and give expression to the power that lies within our heart.
