COURSEWORK DUE DATE: One month after the course ends.
Each day and module focus on a different stage of the menopause, different groups of symptoms, specialist menopause yoga class curated and modified for common conditions in menopause: hot flushes, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue and irritability and low mood.
Trainees will complete the course with knowledge of:
What is the menopause? Biological causes, symptoms and potential long term health risks and medical treatments from a western medical perspective.
What is the menopause from an eastern wellbeing perspective that includes Indian Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine.
Lifestyle changes that can support people in the menopause and after.
How to teach 4x Menopause Yoga classes
How to Plan and Host a Menopause Yoga & Wellbeing Workshop.
An introduction to Holding Space in Women's Circles.
This course is open to teachers with a 200 hours yoga TT qualification. Trainees are expected to have a knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology, yoga asana, breathing and meditation.
This course is professionally accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga as a Module with 30-hours CPD; by Yoga Alliance Professionals as a 40 hour Further Teachers Training and by Yoga Australia as a 40-hours specialist training course.
